We’re offering several exciting, magically-themed weeks this summer at Bella Ballet for children ages 3-12

Summer Camps are available in June, July and August and available both as a half-day or full-day!

Bella's got talent

Does your child dream of performing on stage or tv as a singer, dancer, actress, or through spoken word? Your child will love this camp where their talents come to life. This week, we will explore different areas of performing from television, theatre, music,and film. Each child will work on their own performance piece with our professional dance and talent staff and at the end of the week, perform their act with a live-streamed Bellas’ Got Talent showcase on Social Media platforms and for a talent agent!

Did someone say Princess Party?! Join some of your favorite princesses for an unforgettable week of nonstop fun! Each day, a different enchanted princess will lead us in a tour of their kingdom, sing-a-longs to their favorite songs, ballet-inspired dance classes, princess scavenger hunts, princess etiquette lessons, baking activities, and more! This will be a truly magical week for your little princess!

frozen week

ou won’t be wondering “Into the Unknown” this summer when you join us for Frozen week. Wear your favorite Frozen dress and join Elsa and Anna live throughout the week to sing and dance with us while sharing the inside scoop on their life in Arendelle. Kiddos will be touring Arendelle, sing-a-longs with Elsa and Anna, learning how to make real snow, and dancing to their soundtrack favorites to their heart’s content. Memories of this camp will be one thing kids will not want to “Let It Go”.

princess tea party week

Did someone say Princess Party?! Join some of your favorite princesses for an unforgettable week of nonstop fun! Each day, a different enchanted princess will lead us in a tour of their kingdom, sing-a-longs to their favorite songs, ballet-inspired dance classes, princess scavenger hunts, princess etiquette lessons, baking activities, and more! This will be a truly magical week for your little princess!

positive poms self-confidence camp week

Does your child aspire to be a future pom? This camp will help future poms with their necessary skills and confidence for success!  From leaps, turns, extensions, and technique to motivation and girlhood, your child will work all week with local graduated poms to help develop the skills and technique needed for their future pom pursuits. In typically Bella Ballet fashion, through motivation, enthusiastic conversation, and activities we will discuss confidence, anxiety, leadership, and anti-bullying. After we have empowered ourselves, we will shift focus on the beauty of empowering others and those in need during this unique time in the local community.

ENCANTO camp week

Take a magical trip with us in the hidden mountains of Colombia to a charming place called the Encanto! Campers will learn the fundamentals of ballet and hip hop dance with a cumbia flare, the traditional dance style of Colombia. Daily Encanto themed crafts and games will have your little one loving this enchanting Encanto Camp!  We will discuss the importance of friendship, self-love, and acceptance, as well as explore the traditions of Colombia. Campers will fully experience the magical world of Encanto right here in the studio!oo

Magical unicorn week

Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn! Come enjoy everyday magic with our crafts, games, and building friendships together. Enjoy an appearance from our very own and original “Cupcake the Unicorn”. Shine from the inside out by joining in our discussions of being unique and embracing our differences from one friend to another. Don’t forget the fun of dazzling on the dance floor with daily dance classes and choreography!

Are you ready for a trip of a lifetime? Come explore all corners of the globe without leaving the studio! From tea parties at the Buckingham Palace, live African Safaris, a hike in Machu Picchu, to yoga in a Bamboo Garden in Japan your seasoned traveler will love exploring this beautiful world with us. At the end of the week, when our passports are full we will CELEBRATE with a multicultural party with dance moves from various cultures! Get your exploration gear ready and traverse the wonders of our planet together!

fancy nancy mermaid ballet week

Oh La La! Get ready for a week of Fancy Nancy Mermaid activities, under the sea crafts, and fabulous ballet moves that concludes with us putting on our very own Mermaid Ballet! We will take virtual trips under the sea, learn about mermaids, whales, dolphins, and seashells, talk to a real marine biologist then come back to shore and participate in a luau dance party. We may even get to dance with Fancy Nancy herself!

COVID SAFETY PROTOCOL

These are challenging times for everyone, and we’re doing everything we can to ensure you and your child are as safe as possible at Bella Ballet. Please watch this brief video below to see how we’re keeping Bella Ballet students and families safe.

** As of January 2022, there have been ZERO COVID-19 cases traced to our studio. We have an incredibly in-depth cleaning protocol, including deep cleans between bathroom use and classes, and using a fogger with 70% isopropyl alcohol on every touch surface at the end of each day. We take the health and safety of our students and families very seriously! **

Where are you located?

We are located in the Kentlands, 347 Kentlands Blvd Gaithersburg, MD 20878. We are next to Alliage Salon and Giuseppe’s Pizza.

When is camp and what are the hours of camp each day?

Bella Ballet’s summer camps run in weekly sessions (Monday-Friday) starting June 20th-August 26th

We offer half day or full day options: 

>> AM half day camp: 9:30 – 12:00

>> PM half day camp: 1:00 – 3:30

Our full-day summer camp runs from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm with an hour lunch from 12:00 to 1:00!

What is Bella Ballet cleaning and safety protocols?

We have not had a single covid transmission at Bella Ballet since being open in September and we intend to keep it that way. In addition to temperature checks at the door and masks worn at all times, Bella Ballet takes the safety of our children and staff seriously. The studio is industrially cleaned in between each session as well as cleaned and sanitized consistently during the day. 

Bella Ballet’s cleaning protocol consists of the following: 

  • Children’s hands are washed/sanitized throughout the day including before and after eating. 
  • Hospital-grade cleaning products and sanitation throughout camp 
  • Cleaning of bathroom after each use 
  • Steam cleaned floors after each session
  • Alcohol fogging sanitation daily on surfaces and in the air after each session and at the end of the day when children are not present. 
  • Masks worn at all times except for during lunch time and snack time. 
  • Snacks & Lunches will be strategically eaten with children socially distant to allow them the opportunity to eat without masks for safety.
  • Two industrial air purifying systems are on constantly with UV light at all times during camp hours. 
  • Kid-safe germ fighting essential oils are diffused throughout camp which not only provides relaxation but to assist without other germ fighting protocols. 
  • COVID-19 Waivers daily stating that each child has no symptom of sickness and is healthy to come to camp. 

What is the Pick Up Process for Camp?

When camp is finished, please come to the studio door (facing panera). We will dismiss each child after they have had hand sanitizer. We will look at your parent pass and make sure it matches your child’s pass and you are good to go!

What should my child wear to camp?

We want your child to be comfortable. We do encourage ballet attire, such as leotards and ballet shoes. However, if you do not have these items, no worries! Whatever t-shirt/shorts combo or fun dress your child wants to wear is always welcome. If you do not have dance shoes, please make sure to send your child with a pair of slippers or shoes to be worn inside only as outdoor shoes, socks, and bare feet are not permitted during covid times.

Tights are not required for summer camps. Your child is more than welcome to wear a grandiose tutu if she wants. The bigger the better is a-okay at Bella Ballet!

What if my child has a food allergy?

If your child has any food allergy, please let us know upon registration so we can make arrangements for alternate snacks and Friday lunch. We will confirm the alternate snack and/or lunch prior to camp to ensure your child has a safe alternative.

When will camp fees be processed?

We will process all June camps on June 1st, all July camps on July 1st and all August camps on August 1st to the card placed on file during registration.

Are there any further fees?

No! There is no registration fee or costume fee for summer camps.

Do you offer any discounts?

Our early-bird discount is available through March 1st. The early bird discount is $15 off half day of camp and $25 off of full day of camp. Use the code “early-bird” when registering. This discount will be manually applied before processing your camp fees. 

We also offer a sibling discount for the 2nd child enrolled as well as a multi-week discount for the 2nd week of enrollment onward. The sibling/multi-camp discount is $15 off half day camps and $25 off full day camps. 

When will I receive information specific to my child’s camp?

Summer Camp Welcome Packets are emailed the Wednesday before your child’s camp. We are always around to help so please feel free to email us at info@bellaballetdance.com and we would be happy to assist you with any question you may have!

Is my child required to wear a mask?

Yes! Masks are required for ALL campers and staff throughout the duration of camp. During lunch time and snack time, masks are removed. Snacks & Lunches will be strategically eaten with children socially distant to allow them the opportunity to eat without masks for safety.

Masks are required during drop off and pick daily while near the studio doors. 

Are there covid-waivers required for each family to sign?

Yes! Each morning, we will automatically and electronically send out a covid waiver to each camp family to sign digitally. This waiver states that your child is not showing any signs of illness including congestion, cough, and fever. We have not had a single covid transmission at Bella Ballet since being open in September and we intend to keep it that way.

What if my child is sick?

If your child is sick and unable to come to camp we will work with you! You can explore our award-winning and engaging virtual camps for that week or transfer you to another week once your child is symptom free for 10 days. 

What is the Drop Off Process for Camp?

When you arrive at Bella Ballet, we ask that you come to the lobby door entrance on the Booth street side (side closest to Guiseppes) with your child no more than 10 minutes prior to your child’s camp start time. You will see a large pink tent with your dedicated Bella Ballet team member, and our full Bella Ballet decor and signage. You are welcome to wait outside in our “Princess Alcove” or in your car until camp begins.  Masks must be worn at all times in the alcove in front of the studio by parents and children.

A Bella Ballet team member will take each child’s temperature through our contactless thermometer. If their temperature is below 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit, they will then be escorted with a Bella Ballet team member through the lobby doors and provided hand sanitizer. All children must use hand sanitizer upon arrival. After hand sanitizer is administered through our contactless system, your child will then be escorted to her designated dance area. Each child will have their very own “empowerment area” that is safe and socially distant for them to express themselves! 

Upon arrival, we will make sure parents are all set with our Bella Ballet security software. We will send more information in our welcome packet prior to camp to ensure a speedy drop off process. This software allows children to check-in for camp at our check-in station outside and provides a receipt for the parent. You must show this receipt in order to pick up your child. We suggest that you take a picture of it for camp pick up. 

Please Note: If another family member is picking up your child that day, they must have a picture of that pass. You are welcome to text it to them. Additionally, please inform our staff if anyone other than you will be picking up your child and the name of that person so we can confirm their identity with a photo id and the pass you sent to them.

Is there anything else I need to provide for my child?

  • Extra set of clothes in a ziplock bag with your child’s first and last name 
  • Extra masks 
  • Water bottle 
  • Full day campers, please provide extra masks for each day so children can switch them out throughout the day. 

Does my child need lunch/snacks each day?

We provide all the arts, crafts, activities and fun for the week! “Princess Snacks” for our young campers and “Diva Snacks”  and beverages are included for AM, PM, and Full Day Campers. 

If your child is attending camp Full Day Camp you will need to provide a packed lunch daily for your child except on Friday. 

We ask for lunches to be packed in an insulated lunch box with their name on it with ice packs to ensure freshness. We have limited fridge space and no microwave access so please plan accordingly. 

Friday’s will be our pizza party! We will be providing cheese pizza for students and no packed lunch is needed that day.

Are camps refundable?

Camps are non-refundable but are transferable from week to week. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us directly and we will be happy to help the best we can.
